It has done a great job so far!Very quiet, easy to use, great to have while living in the city.Saw arrived 2 days ago. I have assembled it and charged the battery and will try it out on a dry day. I was surprised to find that even without the battery installed it's heavier than my 16" and 18" electric chain saws.I am a 60yr old vet with a bad left arm. I purchased this to do clearing to put up a fence. Since I cannot pull start a gas saw, I bought this hoping it would do the job. IT NOT ONLY DID IT, IT SURPASSED ALL MY EXPECTATIONS! While my friend was busy prepping his gas job, I popped in my battery and had my first 4 in tree well on its way. Sunjoe rocks and will do the normal tree cutting you need. Believe me, no more gas chainsaw for me!!!I liked everything about this cordless electric chains6So far so great. Look, I'm not a lumberjack. If I was I would get a different chain saw. I'm a suburban homeowner who has yard clean up and the desire to cut small to medium sized trees. Recently, a tall pine fell in my yard in a wind storm. This baby did the job. What I really liked is that I didn't have to pull start after stopping. I was doing a mix of cutting and dragging limbs to the curb. I probably stopped and started the chain saw 20-25 times. Loved not dealing with the gas or the pull start. Because I'm not a lumberjack, it's usually a bugger to start my gas chainsaw between infrequent uses. Not an issue with the battery powered saw. Liked the quieter saw and the lighter device. I can't speak to durability yet, but I love it so far.1st time user on this product. I already had the batteries from my other snow / sun joe machines. This chainsaw is pretty impressive- cut up some smaller trees with ease.My unit was missing a part in the box. Customer service sent a replacement unit out right away.Recommended purchase.This chain saw is exactly what I need for our lake front property. I need to clear some dead trees and dead fall and the saw works very well cutting through trunks up to 8” in diameter. Easy to use and much quieter than a gas saw. Uses the same battery as my Sno Joe snow blower.I would give this Product 0 Stars, if that was an option. Very poor, limited (or no) performance, flimsy construction, combined with perhaps the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered on Amazon. I sent this piece of junk back. Avoid, this product and Sun Joe/Sno Joe. Look for a better built, more solid (and safe) chain saw product from a better, more reliable, experienced and accessible manufacturer, preferably one with real customer service. Much better options available. Explore them.
