I bought this vacuum for my boyfriend for Christmas last year and we love it! We use it all the time for cleaning around the house, cleaning out the cars, and cleaning the garage after projects. It’s not heavy and has great suction. We’ve been using it for a whole year and have only had to empty it once maybe twice. The battery lasts for a decent amount of time maybe about 30 minutes but if I’m remembering correctly I dont think the vacuum came with a battery. All my boyfriend’s tools are craftsman so we have a ton of batteries and just interchange them as needed. If you’re looking for a cordless shop vac and already have craftsman tools/batteries this one is a must!
