I'm not sure why these say "generic" at the front of the title. The charger and batteries are name brand Ryobi. I bought this to use with an old set of 18v Ryobi tools that I recently purchased used. The battery life is excellent. I've been using my drill running on the same battery for two evenings in a row for about two hours without really stopping and the indicator on the battery indicates I've only used half the charge at this point. My hope was that the batteries would bring some life to this old set of tools and they've done exactly that.These batteries are real ryobi brand and are new. The charger is ryobi and is used or refurbished. However, both work fine. Batteries charge properly in my older charger. I’m happy. This is a great value! Don’t pass this one up!First off, I’d like to thank the guy at Home Depot for not wanting to do his job and help a customer find what he’s looking for!Initially went to my home HD to get a Ryobi battery pack and charger. Looking @ HD.com I see that they had this available (9 to be exact). The assistant saw that they had 9 available as well when he looked at his hand held. Because he didn’t know where they were he gave some bs story as to why he didn’t want to look.He notified me that they have the single charger and battery available though. I wanted the heavy duty batteries! I begin to check AZ online and see this beautiful combo for less that what I would have paid for the single bat and charger at HD. Agin thank you for not wanting to do your job.Great buy to take advantage of. The batteries are heavy duty which are more power than the regular batteries. Very happy with the item and speed of delivery, especially after another vendor lost my order.I am taking advantage of the ryobi 1+ series availability and selectively purchasing the tools most relevant to my needs. It only made sense that one of the earlier purchases needed to be additional charging and upgraded batteries.
